Questing

Black Desert Online is an MMORPG, so you know there is no shortage of quests for players to participate in. Gathering, exploring, killing, you name it and there’s a quest for it. Since you’re trying to raise your power and get some good loot anyway, you may as well earn yourself some Silver and Gold while you’re at it.

A lot of quests offer sizable rewards that can help line your coin purse and fund your future endeavors. Never turn down any opportunities  to put a little bit of money in your pocket. 

Farm Mobs

The world of Black Desert Online is full of life. Most of that life is killable, and you can use that to your advantage. Enemies in this game actually provide better rewards than most other MMOs. You’ll get currency, gear that you can sell, and items that you can trade.

The respawn rate of mobs is pretty fast right too, at least for now. You can easily farm an area for an hour and make a small fortune. 

Trade Routes

Now this particular method of making money requires that you acquire some Nodes. Once you’ve obtained some Nodes that are a fair distance from one another, you can start to make serious money by trading between NPCs.

Find out what resources are needed and purchase them from an NPC in another town you’re invested in. You’ll want to look for the Node’s Trade Manager.  It’s best to look for a lower market value (seen in the trade menu) for the items you’re buying. If you can buy them for less than standard price you’ll be able to turn a big profit when you sell them later on.

The more you trade, the better the wares you can peddle become. That means this will take a bit of time investment on your part to build a lucrative trading business. But, before you know it, you’ll find yourself swimming in hundreds of thousands of coins. 

Crafting

This goes without saying in pretty much every RPG that allows you to make things. If you make something, you can sell it. What makes it easier in Black Desert Online is that you can hire workers to do things for you.

Have them collect resources, then assign others to workshops where they can craft items for you. When you’re ready, collect all of the items and sell them to others on the Marketplace. With a bit of time and planning, you create a viable business. 

Horses

Everyone needs a horse. They look pretty, you can dress them up, and you can even fight from horseback. You can also use them to make quite a bit of money in Black Desert Online.

If you have male horses, you can place them in the Breeding Market to be rented by other players trying to breed. The fee can bring a decent amount of silver, especially if you have a higher tiered horse.

You can use your Mare to create more horses through breeding that you can also just sell. It takes roughly three hours to get a new horse, and you can sell them for decent prices. If you have several horses, you can breed multiple at a time making for some easy money. 

Fishing

Finally, we have fishing to help your warrior earn some money. Fishing isn’t particularly difficult, although it can be a bit boring at times. Before you can fish, you must obtain a Fishing Pole from a Merchant or craft one if you have a Tool Workshop. After you get one look for a body of water.

The water must be deep, like a lake or a pond. If you can see the floor beneath the water chances are you won’t yield any results. Once you’ve found water, press the Space bar to begin fishing and wait. Complete the mini-game that pops up when a fish bites. Rinse and repeat.

The fish you catch can be used to cook food you can sell, or can be sold directly. Just make sure to do so not too long after you’ve caught them, or they’ll go bad. You can dry the fish so it never expires, but that will drastically lower the amount of money you can receive for them.
