Embossed Pepsi Cola Ideal 55 Slider Single The lid and side door are there but the bottle opener, inside mechanism and outside coin machine are not there. Here is a 1955 manufactured (stamped "July 1955" on the inside) Ideal Slider coin mechanism. It is in great shape and works flawlessly. Very hard to find in this. Ideal 55s operate by means of a rack in which bottles hang by their necks. Most 1950s soda companies had 55 sliders: Coke Cola, R/C Cola, 7 up, Pepsi Westinghouse produced this machine with no bottle mechanism or coin mechanism.

Slider racks are usually harder to find, and reproductions are available.. but plan on paying 175-200 for used, 250 + for reproduction racks, but they hold the newer bottles..

| I have an Ideal 55 that I will either sell as is for $250.00 or I will part it out. It is complete except for the big key to open the side door. I even have the replacement (inside the lid) decal. I has a compressor, but I have no idea of its condition. Slider racks, coin mechanism, even the cap catcher. If you want to buy the parts, I will hire my son to disassemble it, just let me know what you want.
